I just thought of a good comparison.... A regular "grill" is like having a sea clone skimmer.
I have both a new grill with the indirect heat which I love, and metal cabinet smoker and they work great... but not overly happy with the smoker as the thin metal walls do nothing to hold in heat and I would rather use lump charcoal with the smoker. It's just hard to justify 700-800 bucks on an egg when I have both of those already (and I do use them at the same time).
I just also want something to bake pizza in, cookies, mashed potatoes on a cedar plank, sear steaks at 700 degrees, etc (friends facebook makes me want to cook everything).
I also want to do the bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers from their website.. which I'm going to try on my grill on Monday... I'll have a turkey in the smoker so that will be full. Just more options is all
