sorry to here about your tang, i've had many tangs and have lost all of them due to the same thing, i wish i knew a better way to deal with the same problem. i feel for you. how long was your tank running?? mine 75 has been up for over 4 yrs, and i'm still afraid of getting another tang, for as much as you buy them for.

like 4 months but he was fine untill the other day when he didn't eat and i knew there was something wrong then... he has been great till the other day and i knew they were prone to ich but he was great and then when he didn't eat i got scared and bought that cleaner wrasse and he did let him clean him which was a hell of a sight to see but i guess it was just to much... Everything else in my tank is awesome!

Hi Bigtyguy
as requested here ae some more pics. It actually isn't finished yet. As stated in other thread there is a custom hood for lighting that will be completed soon. Once all the plumbing is done there will be log trim along the back of the tank to hide the pipes to the closed loop system as well as small log trim around the bottom of the tankt o hide the foam the tank is sitting on. I am also thinking of small log trim on the two front corners of the tank itself! I will post moe next week when ALL is complete.

Thanks!!!
As I said I am very proud of it.
I can not tell you how many hours were spent going out and hand picking logs, sanding everything (the split willow was a real pain to get smooth) at the mill having the top slab cut, sanding some more! The easiest part was actually putting it together after all the pieces were picked, cut and sanded. Getting it level was not a party either. But I think the very worst part was waiting for each coat of finish to dry. It actually has 5 coats, each with a sanding in between!
A lot of love went into it!

very beautiful.... Did you hand saw/plane/finish everything? I really like that alot. I would do that for mine but it really wouldnt fit our new house.

The only thing that was'nt done by hand in our little work shop was the top piece. For that we had to drop a large pine tree, bring it to a mill and have it cut sideways to get the slab! It was then thrown in a big oven to speed up the drying process. If it was not baked we would have had to wait close to a year for it to be dry enough to use. Not pleasant when a piece of furniture drips sap on you! But there was several hours spent on it after that with a planer and an orbital sander.
The stand is made out of pine and trimmed with split willow. The split willow actually had to sanded by hand (no power tools just a piece of sand paper) the power sander was taking out the beautiful red colors! I probably have at least 10 hours put into hand sanding the split willow pieces to bring out the reds!
All of the logs had to be skinned to start. That was also done by hand with a draw knife!
The rustic log look is definately not for every home, but I live and a log cabin and love log furniture! I only have a few pieces that aren't log furniture (but they will be soon) except for my couch!
If you think the stand is nice check out my bed! The bed project puts the stand to shame!
Sorry if the bed is off topic, but it is a water bed just doesn't have any fishys swimming in it!
The slab on the bed is from the same tree as the slab on the stand (as well as the doors on the bed)

If you have a sump you might want to try the EV120. That is what I got after a ton of research and the pice is pretty good compaed to others and is supposed to be awesome! It also has a VERY small footprint so it fits in a prety tight spot!
