from what i've read into there not reef safe, those and angels and butterflys, i've looked at angels as well because there some beautiful ones out there, you can go with tangs but go with 1 that is very hardy, i know that powder blues get ick easy, some people have better luck then me, i also have a uv sterlizer in my tank and still have outbreaks of it. try doing a search on tangs to see what other people say.. hope this helps

which is better 250 HQI or 250 regular MH?
That all depends upon what you want. If you want more par, shorter bulb life, and more heat in your system go with the HQI's. If you have a chiller-go this route. If you want less heat in your system, less par, and longer bulb life, go with the SE. My recomendation would be based upon if you have a chiller or not?

i did find some silicone from the Home Depot here , it is called Lexan, it says on the label it is marine safe, also drys clear, we'll see how it works..

what size did you use for your sump? i'm working on mine now , i used a 40 gal and have a fuge that is 19x12x14, are you runing a external pump? what about your skimmer?

it is about 65% done.. i have the lights mounted and 1 fan mounted so i can just put it up and run it for now untill after christmas when i get the other reflectors and the XM lights.. I still need 2 more reflectors and to finish the out side of the canopy and also some small things! Tonight it will snack some pictures for ya!
