Nope, this is the original thermos gone bad. Just wanted to make sure everyone knew where the original thermos disappeared to. Coraljunky should have the new thermos in hand, and hopefully received my package yesterday or today.

Cool! At least you got the package. I thought Z was sending you a new thermos last week? Figured it would be there by now
. If you don't get a thermos, I would just send a package (its easier anyway).

These thermos' work great. Wrap them a couple times in bubble wrap and wrap a cold pack in bubble wrap and set next to in box and it will work perfect. Will not get too cold. Also toss the seal on the lid and wrap in plumber's teflon tape about 3 times and it is guaranteed no tto leak. It will just fit into a quart size baggie or two to double secure against leakage.

again, please explain to me what you guys are doing-
i'm not quite sure what the "package" is for. are you sending the thermos for the heck of it, and sending the coral(s) in a box?
also, have all of the previous trades been inside a thermos and have they arrived alive and healthy?

Ok, original intent was to blind trade soft corals in an effort to help reduce prices on some of the more expensive ones. So trading was/is done two ways. First person (in the current case always reefkprZ) sends a coral frag in a thermos to the next person in line (standard USPS shipping). That person that packs a coral in the thermos (signs the thermos) and then sends it on. Then they also pack a box and ship a frag back to the person they received a frag from (thus everyone ends up with at least two new (hopefully) corals). The original thermos has made multiple trips around the country and was signed by lots of people (pretty cool). But, when I sent the thermos to Ryno_mn, he kept the thermos and doesn't respond. So the original thermos now appears to be lost. Rather than simply let the trade die, I went ahead and shipped a second set of corals on to the next person in line (but without the thermos ~ because it has disappeared). Z was going to get a new thermos and send it to that person also, so the trade could continue, but he hasn't been on lately ~ and we're not sure what happened with the new thermos. Does that make sense? Oh ya, most of the corals appear to have survived (based on the thread), but there are some that have not.

I still think we need a bit more info like a verified phone number. some of these guys may have ended up dead or in the hospital with no way to get ahold of anyone and or they just might be dirt bags who think stealing a cheap thermos an a couple corals is worth changing their names on the forums and or never coming back.

I am back- was out of town for surgery. Recouping at home and will have Scopus over to aid me in sending on two frags. Thanks this has been fun, and I believe I have addresses for sending on to.

If things hanen't changed it's coral junkie to me anf then I send to Grabbit and back to coral junkie. Just means I need Scopus to help me out since the back surgery last week.

nope nothing has changed as far as I know the original list is still intact, minus ryhno. make sure you contact the receivers to know they are expecting the packages BEFORE shipping out. to try and prevent future ryhno incidents.

Sorry about that, Scopus keeps telling me the are two guys called coral junky and coral junkie. That's low man. Anyway Monday will be shipping out to you and grabbit. Hopefully he will respondback soon.
