After reading about her I don't know if I want her for VP but I'd marry her
I like what I've read so far.
Funny, Obama picks Bidem who is 65 years old and has suffered two brain aneuyrsms and McCain pick Palin who has about 16 years political experience with about 4 years in the big time. Kinda throws a dent into the age and experience arguments

This is going to finally get fun

Like I said she has the "look", like those who fawn over Obama like to talk about. She also has more than 146 days experience.

What is wrong with this experience?
8 Years as Illinois State Senator
2 Years as US Congressman
As It qualifies you for President ?

Depends on the time and place and the alternative.

I don't like the pick.... if I were a Republican... I'd be against it because her experience isn't stellar... This will now be something Dems can attack.. or at least it will kill the attacks Repubs have made against Obama and experience.
2nd- McCain is 71/72.... has been regarded as not being in the best health... has had reaccuring cancer... among other issues... If McCain were to fall ill or worse... could this women lead.... she has no foreign experience...and is from a low population state that has a whole different set of issues than those of our other states.
This choice seems to be based on she is an attractive women... has republican values... with limited experience.... I'd be interested in knowing more about her...
Lastly, he needs someone who is a economy champion.... She isn't it.. I think chances would have been better w/ someone like Romney...

I believe that was like in '88 or so.... i'd give him a good bill since its been 20 years.
Who would you trust more as a #2 ... Biden or Palin

I happen to believe he did this only because she is an attractive WOMAN.That way he can say he is for equality of the race and gender too. He doesn't really believe all that. lol This is totally a media stunt so that he can win over the democratic vote. He is still going to stick to the same Bush mentality that we have seen for the last 8 years. God help us if he wins. Say bye bye to some more troops. Whether we are doing well over there or not, he will keep them there as long as he possibly can because, gee, we know what is best for that country.....yeah sure.......lol. They are too stupid to lead themselves so we should make sure we set up another military base in another country. It makes me nauseous.

I will say this for her, what she lacks in experience she makes up for it with a super sexy school teacher look.

Her experience includes routing out abuse especially in her own party for one thing. Spending cuts have also been one of her major priorities. As for your second point kind of sounds like Obama doesn't it? Yeah read some more about her and I think you will find that she is an economy champion,,,,,,thing is can she take it to a national level and assist McCain.....

i think he chose her solely to appeal to the disgruntled hillary supporters. there are quite a few that refuse to believe that the clinton machine lost, and will vote for mccain just to spite obama. mclame's choice, i think, is a baited hook dangling out there for just that demographic (for lack of better word).

I never said that I thought she would do a bad job. Maybe she will be great. Who knows? She only has two years experience for us to decide by.............they are saying that she tried to get her former brother-in-law fired from his job. Maybe he deserved it. Who knows? She doesn't have enough experience for us to tell. I am only saying that McCain's motivations are what bother me. I am 99% sure that having her as VP running mate had very little to do with how great a governor she is, and more to do with what is between her legs. And that is unethical.

oo dems hate her already, this is an excellent sign...

What is funny, they haven't been told why they do yet. I'm sure it will be released soon.
But I like it soo far.
- Inexperienced
- McCain just picked her because she is a hottie.
- Media stunt
- Doesn't know anything about economics.

I think McCain is truley a maverick and able to work across party lines. That said he is also a long time politician and will do what he has to to get elected. I believe some of the changes he has made, flip flops if you will, have been soley to appeal to the ultra conservitive republicans who he needs to get elected. This pick of Gov. Palin fits into his maverickness (hee hee) as she looks to be of the same cloth. I think if elected he will go back to his old ways and do what he believes to be right, not what he needs to be elected.
Let's face it, it is all about getting elected no matter who you are. Look at Barak's speech last night and tell me he can get the things he said done, he is just saying what people want to hear to get in. The person you see afterwords is not the person you elected. With the exception of maybe Ronald Regan.

I don't hate her. If Obama had picked her I would still vote for Obama because I generally agree with his views. Each one of the candidates has their own issues that I don't like and some that I do, but I sure as heck don't want a 70-something, sick old man who is likely to die during his term who supports keeping the war going for longer than we need to and his no-experience governor from a state that has a completely different set of issues than any other state has in the entire nation, to be the leaders of the most powerful nation in the world. Sorry but that is kind of unwise.
