There's no voter fraud

I'm not sure how this would work. Aren't there watchers from both parties present?
Yep. Here's how the fraud works. Towards the end of the voting day the lists are handed off. Someone calls the voter and asks if they have voted yet. If they haven't you encourage them to vote before the polls close. You create a list of those who respond that they aren't voting. You have a group of people ready to go. Person A will go to say precinct 1 and vote on John Smith's name, precinct 2 and vote Joe Jones name etc Persons B through z do the same thing. How do you get caught? You just make sure none of your army votes again at their actual precinct. All you need is the voter's name and in some cases the address which is right on the voter list. Easy easy.

The concept does sound possible and since I've never volunteered at the polls I can't give much insight, but why aren't the other poll watchers reporting this? I mean if I understand it there are both democrats and republicans there. Each group has all the lists. Wouldn't the republican poll watchers be calling those who registered as republicans?

It's harder in a small city where people tend to know each other. But how are you going to know? Unless you catch someone using the name of somebody you happen to know how do you catch them?
A good friend of mine in Montana used to poll watch. She had a "friend" from high school show up at the poll she was working at which wasn't in her right precinct. When the woman saw my friend she got out of the line and walked over to talk to her; She made an excuse about being there to look for someone she thought was poll watching there then quickly left but why was she standing in the line of people waiting to vote until she saw my friend?
That was small time. You get to a big city and a busy polling place it's highly unlikely you'd ever get caught.

I suppose it could work. Personally I doubt it happens much since I can't imagine people risking 5 years in jail to commit a felony to add one more two more votes. And I know that if I personally saw this occur I'd be turning them in.
So what happens if someone worked late and shows up the polls at the last minute but someone already voted in their name? I mean I usually vote late after work and if I show up and someone has already cast my ballot I'd raise hell, no way I'd let someone steal my voice.

Even if someone changed their mind and showed up to vote at the last second the perp isn't going to get caught. All they would know is someone pulled something. I know in the 2000 election when my mom went to vote they said she already had. Now that might have been a mistake (poll worker checked off the wrong name) or it may have been fraud. My mom had to show ID and was allowed to vote.

I don't see it being too hard to investigate. Unless my name is Eric Holder, I doubt I am going to be singeled out by someone trying to prove a point. So if someone steals my vote they either know me OR were tipped off by someone working the polls. That isn't a big group of people to look into. And if this is truly widespread I doubt there would only be 1 person at the end of the day showing up with his or her vote stolen. 3 or 4 people showing up last minute who have already voted should raise a red flag to the observers. Then look at who's list these names were on and pretty soon the whole deal falls apart.

Why are people tap dancing on this subject? Jerth, Bionic, do you guys want to stop illegals, felons and the dead from voting-and stop the tour buses being driven from poll to poll? I'm sure the answer is no, because you know they overwhelmingly vote for your side. Now since you'll both deny it, what is your solution? Oh right there is no problem, so ignore it, right? There's no winning with these democrats. They want the illegal vote and they will do whatever it takes to keep the illegal votes coming in. Yet even when a mirror is held up to their corruption, they think it doesn't make them evil, after all just doing what it takes to save the country from stupid and evil conservatives. So yeah, I'm sick of the dance.
The problem is you have no proof rampant voter fraud is occurring. You have a couple of "supposed" videos somehow showing someone voting illegally, and you make it out that there's millions of people that are conspiring with one another to vote for one specific candidate in a major election. So instead of just following the same voting procedures that have been used in this country for decades, the Republicants drummed up this conspiracy of voter fraud, and now millions of Americans have to be inconvenienced by having to find a way to obtain some type of photo ID to perform a right they've been doing without one ever since they pulled their first lever in a voting booth. It's just a political maneuver for the Republicans to disenfranchise voters they know would never vote for their candidates regardless.

Bi-partisan examples. And it wasn't a "republican" drummed up issue.

Wasn't someone on here saying the Bush count was accurate, and he actually won by more votes that they stated in the "hanging chad" incident?
The Republican's have beaten the LBJ ballot stuffing incident to death. We know that one.
Carter? That occurred in a primary election, not a general election, and some corrupt sheriff was wanting to fix the election in a newly formed district.
How was some Iranian conspiracy to boost Reagan's win against Carter in 1980 a form of voter fraud? Please.
The Kennedy-Nixon election in 1960 is still being debated due to the votes in Texas and Illinois. But you want to compare voting procedures 52 years ago to how they are performed today? Don't know about where you vote, but all the voting booths here in Texas are electronic now. Guess you could hack into the computer and change a few votes, but based on the security measures used on those systems, I'd find that highly unlikely.

I gave you examples of voter fraud. end of story.
does it really matter if it was a primary, county, or state election? It still occurred. something you stated was not a major occurance. obviously it is.
whether the bush election was fraud or not...the accusations and belief is still popular in many political circles today. whether he would have won or not.......something still occured.
these were just a few of the more significant examples. I am sure there are many smaller elections I could list.
your claim was it does not happen....i showed it does.

You gave five examples where 3 of them are flimsy arguments at best. Besides Bush, none of the others occurred in the last 2 decades. We had someone trying to cheat in a homeowners association election last year. Guess you can add that one to your tally.

The only one's pushing these voter fraud theories are the Republicans. They need every controversy they can muster to give Romney a shot at beating Obama. If this was such an important issue, and everyone is so concerned about voter fraud, why didn't they fix this after the Bush/Gore election controversy? Why not after Carter, Reagan, Kennedy, or LBJ? Why is it now such a hot topic, and a major concern?

Given 0bama's history of using vote fraud and other slimy tactics to win elections the Republicans need to be on their toes.
