I like that it is going to be a smaller scale lagoon. Will be very interesting to see the progress

the tank will be up this weekend. not sure what will be in it though. It will probably not be skinned yet. Because I dont like the way that black stuff looks. So i will still be trying to figure out what i wanna skin the frame with. but thats not what ever one cares about anyway. They just wanna see the tank.

I am probably going to finish the stand with better wood and stain it..dont expect it to be anyting spectacular. I am no carpenter
Well here it is. Obviously I got some stuff to still do. But you can see where the beach/tree area is gonna be now

Is it too late to have the bottom drilled? That way you could have a nice sump to hold the heaters, skimmer, closed loop, etc and be able to hide it all easily. I'd suggest 4 holes, two in the back center and one in each back corner.

That is an awesome idea! I agree with Bang Guy, get it drilled so you won't have the filters/heaters/ and stuff showing. How are you going to set up your lighting?
It would be cool to hang some MH's down kinda like a lamp
.

I am hanging a 150w pendant
I dont want a sump. My last 20L I had a sump and I couldnt stand it. pissing with it all the time adjusting. I want this to be a sit back and relax. You wont really see anything once I get all my rock because it will hide it all pretty good.
I am going to try and get the sand on the beach area tonight.

some updates after getting some live rock lastnight.
I just got a reg fl lights over it. my MH reflector will be in tomorrow then I will have it on there.
still kinda murky

there is no cycle.
I took down my 20g that was up over a year and just put it all in this. and this tank is a 24g. So it was basically just a water change.

Please dont mind the light on there..the ballast i have didnt work for the 150w..so i gotta order another one. thats just on there for now so I have something to look at
Maybe once I get all the little palm trees and shurbs to make it look like a jungle and fill in the empty space it will look better. I think i might change the grass stuff. I think that might be making it look like arse
