In 1993 Clinton and the Dems passed the 93 Gun Control Act and were swept out of power in Congress. If Obama goes along, like Clinton, it will be a presidential and congressional sweep. Why don't we put restrictions on any other Constitutional clause. Say, leftists are a danger to America, so we will limit how much leftists are allowed to be heard in the media? How about, because so many people are doing drugs, we will say no more warrants for searches and seizures? How about no more jury trials for felony defendants? I can see how there are many dangers posed by those pesky Constitutional restrictions. Why stop at "the right to bear arms shall not be infringed"? Poll taxes and government approval to travel sounds fair.
In 1994 the largest reason stated for people voting Republican was Clinton's worthless gun control law. Good luck Dems. You couldn't have given the election to the Reps any faster.

The Republicans need a legitimate candidate in order to guarantee a victory. As far as I'm concerned Palin, Gingrich, and the Godfathers Pizza guy aren't legit candidates.
I think the 2012 presidential election is going to be a lot like the midterm election in Nevada. You had Reid and Angle, and the people hated Reid, but would rather elect him than the dingbat Angle. Even if Obama doesn't gain any popularity between now and then, against an opponent like Palin I don't think it matters what gun legislation he pushes. Until he goes Prohibition-era on guns and proposes a bill that will outright ban EVERY weapon, and make owning ANY firearm illegal, I don't even think saying that Obama is doing away with the Second Amendment is even warrented. Making background checks a lot more thorough, cracking down illegal arms trafficing, and keeping things like "cop-killer" rounds and extended clips out of the hands of people that shouldn't have them is not doing away with the Second Amendment.

He wont push anything before the election but if he's re elected watch out. Perry, Romney or Pawlenty can take 0bama out. I'd rather even take my chances with the Pizza man than 4 more of 0bama.

I think it will come down to Perry or Romney. Palin and Gingrich don't have a prayer. I think Palin, philisophically, would be the best candidate, but she comes across as a ditz and an opportunist. The mushy middle wouldn't vote for her and I think she's a thin-skinned quitter. If the Republicans run a non-contreversial candidate, he/she will win. Even if The Messiah wins, Congress will go to the Reps this next time. The Dems are defending far more seats than the Reps this election and Reid and Pelosi have made sure the electorate hasn't forgot why they fired the Dems in '10.

Well, I hate to admit it because I am a strong 2nd Amendment advocate, I actually agree with The Messiah on 2 of the 3 things. We need to know when there are sales of large numbers of guns here in the Southwest. A rancher and 2 Border Patrol were killed by the cartels with guns bought in Arizona and shipped to Mexico. But I fear a legitimate and reasonable policy will be turned into tracking and listing all gun sales.

The ATF is directly responsible for some of those deaths. Just do some research.
There are plenty of good laws on the books. They need enforced. There was plenty of evidence lawter was nuts before he bought a gun and shot people. It seems his mom worked for the county so the sheriff of Pima county may have pushed things under the rug.
We don't need any new laws, just peole with the guts to enforce the laws we have.
Just like the immigration laws.

If you're talking about Rick Perry, that guy is nothing more than a Bush clone with even more radical ideologies. He knows nothing about foreign policy, and thinks Secession is a better alternative than dealing with the Federal Government.

And obama's foreign policy has been such genius..... One thing Perry would have over 0bama is the understanding of how bad the southern border is screwing up the country. I would have a hard time believing a person who's most extensive job experience prior to becoming president was as a community organizer would be better equipped to be president than someone with a legitimate resume like Perry.

1.) Stop the out of control spending. Stop the redistribution of wealth and go back to a Constitutional government.
2.) close the borders and enforce immigration laws
3.) Support our friends, and show our enemise we mean business.
4.) actually fight a war to win. None of this pc Viet Nam meat grinder stuff.
5.) tell the UN to pound salt and stop supporting it out of proprtion to the other countries.
6.) make the USA the world power. Not some 3rd wold czarship

I believe calling someone ignorant is a form of name calling in most countries.
I am going to follow that up with this. You are against more wars..yet you want to take over mexico and kill cartels........we get more oil from mexico than the middle east.......taking over mexico would start a war and an oil crisis as the populace would fight us.calling someone ignorant and than following up with this statement is very ironic.

Anyway you republicans don't realize the world is changing. The tea party which has lost a lot of support taught people they don't have to fall into the lines they always have. I know a lot of people from my area that thought they were republicans because that's what there parents taught them. They have now opened there eyes. They realize the republicans are wrecking our great country. I bet Paul Ryan can't even get re-elected. In a couple weeks here we have recalls for 6 republican lawmakers. They will not win and democrats will take back over. The dictator Walker will get recalled in January. You will see.

Are you ignorant? Sara has past her limelight. She can't get the nod. She annoys republicans as well...her content is stale...and the media wont allow it.
If you think the tea party has lost support, you might need to seek some education.
As for wisconsin...it has been democratically controlled for a long time........and your problems are not from the republicans...yet you still support those that have put you in your mess......are you ignorant.

No Wisconsin did not get sewed up until Walker and the rest of the criminals that call them selves Republicans did so lately. Voter suppression bill, concealed right to kill, and the whole taking away anybody's right to barrgin by the dictator is what is screwing this state up. And this state has a budget surplus but yet they think we should defund public schools and give people vouchers for private schools. That's what I call ignorant.
