What's the point of starting a thread like this...is it just to antagonize people

I count 16 BH tangs. Plus, it is of course an aquarium and they will move the tangs as they get bigger to larger tanks.
This is in no way an issue. IMO - this is how hippos are found in nature and they are trying to represent a snippit of them in this tank.
If you had 200,000 + gallons of tanks, you could do this too...its called planning.

Honestly, we have no idea how often one of those tangs ends up sick/dead, or if they swap out ones that develop HLLE for healthier ones. We also don't know if they keep the fish in there for a couple weeks at a time and swap out with others that are kept in better, longer term locations. There's just a lot that we don't know. The only thing you're doing with this thread is antagonizing people.

You have to admit, this does throw a monkey wrench into the "no tang can be housed in a tank that is less than 6 feet long" theory. And you can't tell from the picture but my guess is that a public aquarium has a pretty healthy stock.

It doesn't disprove the "6' tank minimum rule" at all. For one that isn't a set in stone rule, only a recommendation. Just because a public aquarium is doing it doesn't mean it will work for you, and like mentioned they probably swap them out every so often.
This thread was pointless, just give it up. There are plenty of examples of overstocked or wrongly stocked tanks out there, we really don't need to bring this up every time we see it.

Yeah, this falls on the lines of pet stores doing the same thing. Packing a tank full of fish that need big tanks. Some person not knowing any better see this and thinks oh ok I can do it too.
Then they come here to this message board listen to a bunch of "bleeding heart hobbyist" who should just wear a badge that says tree hugger for all they care.
What makes us an authority on fish husbandry????? Because we have fish and keep tanks?????
That pic is from an aquarium with specialist in the marine field. We are a bunch of engineers, mechanics, laborers, ditch diggers, fireman, nurses, caregivers…. So in the grand scheme of things who’s right.
I am not fully committed to tangs being in huge tanks, but I don’t agree with an adult tang being in a 55 gallon either.
As humans we go along with how we do things by the examples given to us. The rare few that have the wherewithal to think out side the box, in this case a glass box to learn a little more then what’s given to us.
To wear a “tang police badge” is a little much for me to digest. To me is a way to fulfill a void in your life that has some type of meaning to you. While the rest of the world could care less. Fish are disposable pets, not in my eyes but to the majority of the world.
Now, the above comment about the tang police badge, that was not enrage anyone or belittle them or knock their feelings. You want to wear that badge do so, but do not throw your feelings or your beliefs down my throat. Your not going to change everyone’s habits or husbandry skills. If a person fails to see it your way, then fine, that’s the end. Don’t feel you need to attack them or knock them.
Tang husbandry falls in line with religion and politics, your not going to win them all.

guys "funas and games" we can call agree it BETTER to house tangs in longer tanks and in smaller qty's we agree it's BETTER.. will get a clear pic of the healthy life stock in this aquarium ill get an accurate exact gallonage and size of theis round circular tank...and more info..to follow to get offended !!!

from other pictures I have in my album there are 21 Blue Tangs avg size is at least 6" and there are 50 Percs Clowns all adults the biggest clowns i've seen fat and about 3-4" thier full groen adult size whatver that is. now they might have the best filertation system in the world and this tank might be hooked up to 500k gallons of water it might be one sysytem I'm just showing a picture of at tank with every specimen healthy from my observation that looks to be flourishing.

Those tangs are the same size as the clowns. I don't see a single 1 near 6" long.
