They usually are. If you plan on putting another one with her, she might not accept it and just beat it to death.

You'll need to put one in that is noticeably smaller than her to even have a chance at her accepting it. However, with a clownfish that has been alone for that long, it's not likely that she'll accept a mate at all and will probably just beat it to death.

We've spoken about this in the past. My suggestion is to trade her in and get two young ones that will pair up on their own.
 
Edit: If you're thinking about mating them and raising the fry. Look for two young tank raised clowns. Once they mature and are comfortable in your tank, they will mate.

I understand. I'm going through that with one my tangs that I know I can't keep.
 
Well, when you start, stick with the basics, muchrooms, zoanthids, various polyps, etc.
Once you have a good handle on them, you can start with some LPS corals.

They have the red zoas and the green center ones in the frag section.....Much cheaper and they will grow
 
They also have a single mushroom in the frag section too....not sure what color....
 
check them out.....I got some zoas from the frag section and they were great.....

I have the red mushrooms and they are growing really well. I have always been pleased with the frags, especially since I can never make up my mind. Frags just seem to be a better option for me.

the rio 600 is for top flow
 
the K2 blows in the back of the tank...right to left
 
K1 in front on the tank left to right
