Triggers

I'll look into it Thanks. I like the movement of live corals and that are they are alive. Is this a better list for my tank?
Bj triggerfish
Maroon clown pair
Foxface rabbitfish
Sailfin tang
Flame angel?
No harlequin tusk right? Sorry I'm a little confused. Also, what are some pretty, personable fish that can go in a reef. Any help is highly appreciated. Thanks

no tusk,, they can chew on stony corals.. and with that exclusion that would be a good max for a 150g at full grown..
now im not gonna lie, i had a few triggers in my 150g fowlr and a few other fish but none near full grown..
If you buy that list you would be fairly well stocked at full grown
though you could also have some smaller fish for movement until they get larger and even at that they could be fine..
this of course would depend on your mechanical filtration and biological ...
Im thinking maybe some reef chromis (though they are not good shippers are are hard to keep alive), or some bangaii cardinals(ORA breeds these so they are usually pretty good) or even 2 female and 1 male anthia of the smaller variety..
I also persoanlly like some of the smaller reef safe wrasses (only 1 of those)
and if large enough you could have a sandsifting goby.. though not if you want corals that like to be on the sand

Purple tang is fine.
Look into Anthia and reef safe wrasse. They swim around a lot.
If your careful with the fish selections you can have a nice tank with lots of movement.
Try to remember to stock on the fully grown size not what they ship as.

250 tank.sailfin, hippo, blond naso and orange shoulder.i still want to get another achilles .but i have to wait for my next bigger tank in a few months.i have had tangs together for years.i read people say they fight but .imo if you think ahead and add them to their size and aggression i have never had them fight.i had 3 in a 90 gallon for a couple years.sailfin, purple and a plain naso.no problem.but for some reason i keep finding bigger tanks

I wouldnt put a Naso in a 150g, I also wouldnt put more than 2 tangs in a 150g....
and deejeff I also mentioned that most inverts would still not be safe with any triggers...

Ok sorry guys here's my idea I think might work
Ocellaris or maroon clown pair
BJ triggerfish
Foxface
Sailfin tang
Purple tang?
Some blue green damsels
Harlequin tusk?
Fairy wrasse
What kind of goby could i get? All help is appreciated.

no shrimp with a trigger.imo shrimp dont do much anyway.i have had plenty of them over the years.they for the most part hide during the day.
sailfin/naso yes
sailfin/purple probably not.purples are aggressive.i had one for 8 years he wasnt too bad but would still nip at others once in a while.
i had a harliquin for a little while,it died all of a sudden.being so scarry looking it was quite shy.they are known to be ok for a reef but no shrimp.
i would skip on the damsels to territorial, look at the green cromis instead.
i have never had a goby ,so cant help you there.
i had a foxface for years just watch where he is when you have your hand in the tank i almost got poked a few times.
other than that looks like a pretty good list

You could get a larger sandsifting goby like a Sleeper or watchman (needs to be big enough NOT to be confused as trigger/tusk food) also they are jumpers so if it gets scared it can jump sraight out the top..
I also would skip damsels...
the biggest thing on tangs is to make sure they are not the same whether Zebrasoma, Naso, Acanthurus.... you dont want 2 of the same family they will fit in that space...
I really loved my foxface rabbitfish he was really nice
had a tusk but the triggers picked on him so much I had to take him back to my LFS

Also, I saw a flounder for sale today. It said 125g for one and reef safe With Caution. Do you guys agree? I think it would be a cool pet to keep. Also, it said EASY care level. Any thoughts will be appreciated thanks.
