Update on Bubble Coral.

there are some bubbles there so maybe it just got irritated by the cleaning. Leave it be for a few days, it will be ok if there is algea buildup on the glass.

I plan to get the magnet cleaner that goes on the glass because its less trouble for me to take the light off then stick my hand in the tank, and this way its less movement in the water so I wont bug anything.

Stop messin with the tank. ?? ? Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be,,,,,,,,,,,,,there will be some bubbles, let it be.???

I haven't touched the coral lol, I had to take out my fan that creates a current because it stopped working, and just cleaned the algae from where it was because I was unable to clean there. It is at the opposite side of the tank or my Coral but the algae was bugging me so I cleaned it lol

So then even if there is lets say a LOT os algae buildup on the glass, leave it?.. even if it gets to the point you can't see clearly?
Do you regular maintenance to the tank. Just don't go overboard trying to change things. If a water change is time, do it. If there is algae on the viewing panels and you usually scrape it off do it.
Nothing out of the ordinary is needed here to assist the coral except to ....................

Not close to where i was cleaning. It is in the right side of my tank. From the front it is maybe 5" away, as well as the back, and the left side its roughly the same, or more.

Do you have a master test kit that includes calcium, alkalinity, and magnesium? I know when our bubble coral was looking a little strange we posted on another board and were asked for those test values as they can affect corals. What color is the bubble supposed to be?

My LFS does not have those test kits. The one I have is the most they have. which is everything I listed, and it has freshwater tests included. I'm not sure where I can get that test kit other then online. I believe pink, or white.

well, the bubble will need calcium in order to grow and maintain its skeleton. Are you using carbon? Maybe a combo order for the reef master test kit from API as well as some chemi-pure Elite carbon.

Yes and yes, espically if you are not testing to see just how much calcium you have in the tank. Dont add something if you dont know you need it or not. Seriously, spend the $ and get the reef master test kit from an online retailer. While there, get something else to go with it so its not like you are spending soo much to get just one little thing shipped to you.
Do you have a local reefers club? There might be peeps there that can help you with a test or 2 for now.
Ontario is a big province, where abouts are you? I can check something for the local clubs me thinks.

Keep in mind, if you are doing routine weekly water changes, you may very well not have to supplement anything.
Obviously, some people have super high calcium demand tanks due to their choice of corals and clams but the average person should be ok with simple water changes.
This is why it's always a good idea to test and see exactly where you are.

Scarface I am going to suggest some reading here before you start any kind of dosing procedure. There is a need to understand what, how, why, and when to embark on this part of the hobby. It would be good for you to read them in the order presented.
