Upgrade suggestions / things that need fixing

I'm not seeing the link thing... I see pics. You're not seeing any pics, Beth.
They are working on it all the time. Don't y'all see the test posts that they are constantly putting up and deleting?
And no... loyalty does not
= noise makers. They are not done yet.... I'm waiting to see what turns out in the wash before I throw up the "I'm outta here" posts. My lack of complaining means I'm indifferent? No, it means I'm patient. When they have fixed the major bugs, like not being able to post from all browsers, I'm sure they'll be looking for suggestions on how to fix the "convenience bugs".

I'm sorry. I made the mistake of believing only what I want to believe.
Excuse me while I eat sunshine and fart rainbows.

You can see the new pics that have been posted up since the upgrade, but the old pics (pre-upgrade) are links. Take a look at the Diseased Fish topic stickied at the top of the Disease Forum.
And, yes, I definitely see the test posts. And I do know that a lot of work went into the upgrade before going live. I guess you can't test everything until you are actually live. Some things have been fixed. You don't have scroll back and forth to see threads, we do have attachment capabilities now, etc. Some things need more work, and fixing.

OK. Gotcha. The old attachments are showing up as links but things like my photobucket pics are showing up as they originally did.

I think the Number 1 biggest problem is that many, if not most, people still can't start a thread. I'm assuming that anyone wanting to join the forum, and post a new topic can't do it....

Any idea on when the pic posting problem will be fixed? As well as if the old pics will go back to being pics and not be links anymore? One thread I frequent's pics since post#1 are still pics meanwhile mine are links. Also with my MAC I can no longer upload images from imageshack only from the mac and am not sure if the sizing will be correct for message boards as in I cant test because its a thumbnail not a full size pic. I'm not sure if you mind posting on your thread meowzer so am not sure if this is an acceptable post here if not let me know and I will delete it, but I posted a thread that isnt being looked at and this seems to be getting read by at least one mod so figured is a good place to post questions.

Issues Remaining
-Pop-up notifications for PMs don't work.
-Being able to link to individual posts, rather than the whole thread doesn't work.
-Still no easy way to do advanced posting for most members.
-Picture attachments has problems, including showing links rather than pictures for pics dating prior to the upgrade
-Starting new topics don't work for many.
-There is no search material available beyond the start date of the upgrade.
-There's no option to preview posts before posting (as existed in previous forum version)

I politely told a new member to start a new thread because she/he was hijacking a thread. I didn't realize at the time that this member wasn't hijacking to be annoying, but out of necessity.

Well, I have tested it to see if I could start a new topic, and could not. I'm likely not alone. This is particularly troublesome for new members because they all come in on a trail basis, some never return, and some stay. If they can't post....then, they won't return.

Go to help, about Internet Explorer. That will tell you which version you have. If you are still in version & just do the upgrade to Version 8.
Or use a real browser............................................Firefox!!!
