Ya know.... That option seems to be all but gone nowadays. Sure you can block content based on ratings and other stuff via parental controls, but remember the days when it just basic analog cable and your TV controlled everything? It took 5 seconds to delete a channel so you could surf faster. Which is a funny story... First week and a half of college one of my roommates hadn't shown up yet. Meanwhile there's a "common area" TV. Me being non-Spanish speaking, deleted the Spanish channels. Fast-forward a few weeks, my roommate and I are surfing the channels and he noticed all the Spanish channels (he's Cuban) were gone and he jokingly said "This TV's racist." I dunno how I kept a straight face

AK, that is too funny. Nowadays with HDTV you need a box to get HD, and they have it so you can't erase the channels on the box. I found that out after I turned in our old box for some stupid reason. Then I could not get the old box back. And to think I remember taking the tubes out of our TV and taking them down to Skaggs drugs store to test them and see if they needed replaced.

adjacent to rivers. Significant flow in major rivers...including
the mojave river...the white water river...the santa margarita
river...the san luis rey river...and the san diego river...are
likely by saturday.

The national weather service in san diego has issued a
* flash flood watch for a portion of southwest california...
Including the following areas...orange county coastal areas...
Riverside county mountains...san bernardino county mountains...
San bernardino and riverside county valleys-the inland
empire...san diego county coastal areas...san diego county
mountains...san diego county valleys and santa ana mountains
and foothills.
* from friday afternoon through saturday afternoon
* rainfall rates near or greater than one inch per hour are
possible.
* excessive runoff may also cause flooding of most streams and
washes...and along low lying areas adjacent to major rivers.
* mud and debris flows area also possible...especially below steep
terrain and areas with little to no vegetation
precautionary/preparedness actions...
A flash flood watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should flash flood warnings be issued.
