Good point. Sarcasm is lost on some.
On a sidenote, how is liberal insulting?
You would know. How is Tea Baggers insulting, or any different calling someone a libtard or "bleeding liberal"? They are both labels intended to indirectly insult someone. You of course will say "it's only a reflection of your political affiliation". However, it's the context you use the word that can make it sound demeaning. Do you honestly think that when you start discussing controversial political or religious topics, that the discussion will remain civil with the type of people who post on this forum, or any other forum for that matter? If you do, you live in some fantasy world. There's always a "tipping point" in those discussions where a sarcastic remark or personal jab is interjected into the conversation, whether intentional or not. So of course the other person will go on the defensive and "counter attack". It's called human nature. You and everyone else here has a Type A personality, and you will defend your position as you see fit. You're just good at the art form of playing the dumb and innocent at the right time of the conversation. I simply see through your "who me?" And "I have no idea what you are inferring." facade. It would normally go unnoticed, but you always manage to let it slip in you salutations. At least you put it in parentheses so I"ll be sure not to miss it. I mean come on. You even have this arrogant catch phrase/question with your nickname and avatar. You come of with an attitude before anyone even reads your comments. And you wonder why I would be on the defensive from the get go?
