hehe, to answer a few posts:
Stdreb, i seriuosly hope i don't see very much... i turn off the lifetimce channels...
lecithin--the rooms already pretty clean, now it's the putting away of all the baby clothes that we have to deal with.
jrt- you'll LOVE it when it's your child, and you can feel a foot or a butt or hand or whatever sticking through your wife's belly--it's totally amazing.
nano--you bet :) that will be MY bib during feedings (once she's big enough...)

New question:
We got a ton of baby clothes from people, and bought a few boxes used (two boxes and a shopping bag FULL of clothes for $25
, there's even a polo sleeper...).
all these clothes say different washing techniques: warm water with low dry, warm with medium dry, cold with low, cold with medium, gentle cold, gentle warm, etc etc etc.
what's the problem with these manufacturers of clothing?? that's like 8 different loads of wash...does anyone just say forget it and throw everything in one load?

yup, the only thing I do is sort by color. (unless its made of rayon) med wash, med dry. use either dreft or detergent without dyes.

Early congrats on the birth of your child! My daughter is turning two tomorrow - time truly does fly. She's the joy of our lives and has made my wife and I much better people. I'm a much more patient person than I used to be :)

we've been to the c-seciton class, and went over the whole timeline of what happens when wifey starts going into labor. we're as ready as we can be until the day happens
her doctor said they would not stop her if she went into labor, as friday is technically full term. she's starting to get affaced, and the baby is actually starting to come down into the pelvic area. she's not dilating yet, but is having contractions.
the next class we have is an epidural class, but isn't really all that necessary, since they went over epidurals in our last birth class. i find it amazing that they would find out stuff like this... i mean, who thought of popping a needle into the spine, and voila the whole body is numb. we're hoping she doesnt need an epesiotomy (sp?), but there's only a few ways to help lessen the likelihood of needing it, and none sound good to her.
hopefully next update will be that our daughter was born :)

well, wifey woke me up at 3 this morning. she'd been having contractions every 45 seconds, every 4-5 mins, for about 2 hours.
so i ran around like a chicken with my head chopped off, my heart was beating a mile a minute.
got her to the hospital...
nothing
BAH false labor!
they did though say that they'd see us again by the end of the weekend.

I'm sorry but I had this image from the ---- VanDyke show, when he was practicing putting his hat on

Well at least you know what to do and what not to do next time when it is for real.
