OMG my wife (well, Kaitlyn) made out like a bandit at the shower. And of course, it was me that had to put everything together to try out to make sure it worked. I guess if we had found something not working months down the road the warranty would have been over.
BTW, i don't know if i already said it but we finally decided on Kaitlyn Marie :)

Congrats and good luck! My best friend is due a couple days after your wife with her 3rd girl(the other 2 are 8 & 5) and my sister just had her 3rd child(she has 2 girls 15yrs & 10yrs), a boy this time, on 12/18, so from a different perspective, I feel your joy and pain, lol.
My 1st nephew.....

From my point of view I am SO glad my wife had C-sections.....Didn't have to go through all of that.

They say that the man's curse is that he has to work the land, and the woman's curse is labor pains.
I like my curse.......

Most likely you wont see any of that in the delivery room. The staff usually will ask you to stay at your wife's side. The last thing they want is you getting in their way and blocking their light.

Besides, most likely your wife will have a death grip on your hand.
Don't feel goofy that you are going to all these classes. (i.e. the nursing class)
Keep in mind that for the first few weeks, there's a good chance that you are going to be the level headed one. Better to know what's going on too.

yup.
the nursing class was probably the most interesting so far. (no, not because of all the brests since they really arent all that attractive with a kid sucking on them...) it's amazing to be reminded that humans have natural instincts, even at such a young age and that humans truly are mammals. i would never have known about the different types of milk, how small baby's stomaches are, and that the mother actually produces milk in makeup and quantity to match the baby's needs.
this tuesday is birthing part 2... they are going to show a c-section :( i'm really not looking forward to that.
