I believe so its a das system which I know is old but it works with the built in filtration for what i'm using it for. Any ideas on fish I want it to be a FOWLR I already have a small mex stingray thats going in there I was thinking maybe a panther grouper or miniatus grouper throw some ideas out there I want to add a few tangs for color and movement but what else????

I was thinking about an eel as they are my favorite maybe a dragon eel but I want something that will move around, and allow my customers to view. Its not really a draw if all you see is its head

I like that list NEREEF triggers are out
I really like them but oh well I might do a majestic angel or a blueface angel panther grouper maybe a sohal tang. No batfish to much specific care. I do have a small volitan that would look good in there hmmm thanks for the imput NEREEF

Wow, drewsta, sweet score!
yea i would say triggers are out cuz of the ray.. not sure on the angels tho, but im sure some others on this board will post. For something eye popping in a FOWLR, you cant beat a moray and a huge lion. I remember when i was little going into my doctors office and he had a huge (10-12) volitan i believe. It was definately cool, and obviously eye popping enough for me to remember it 10 years later

ok so I will put the volitan in there with the ray any suggestions on tangs I would love to have an achilles, or other large to semi large fish? (I only payed $500 for tank/stand/pumps
:joy:) I think I got a good deal and thats all that matters lol

Drew, 500 with pumps ect. is a deal and a half!!! BTW the achilles is a beautiful fish but on the harder side to keep long term, but whos to say you shouldnt give it a shot?? For a more "hardier" large tang.. why not try a Naso or a Sohal
Again.. great score for that price

Ok, what is your opinion on a clown tang to aggressive or do you think it might work? and I love blonde nasos!!!!!

I think you would have the same issue as the achilles... kinda hard to maintain. i don't think aggresiveness would be the problem with it being house in a larger sized tank, but the clowns like the achilles are just "harder" to keep. BTW, the blond Naso is a spectacular looking fish and any picture IMO does NOT do it justice. Wait until you see one in person until you see how beautiful it really is

i agree that achilles tangs are on of the best looking fish in the ocean. it might be a little high maintainence though. like you said a blonde naso would probably be better. i don't know much about clown tangs except that they need a big system, and you have one.
also an engineer goby might be a better fish to view than an eel.

I wanted the blonde naso, but my tank isn't big enough, I would go with that! Tell me where the cafe is and I will come stare at it!

nice pickup for sure!!
i have a large system and maybe you can look at my pics and see what tangs you like sinc ei do have 2 rays and a shark..oh ya and also a lionfish
IMO a large salifin tang is gorgeous since they open up and almost look lieka batfish, i also love my unicorn tang,,
