Ok well the official day finally came. They announced that I will have a spot on the team. They were not ready to commit to salary however. Kind of puts in into perspective for me of what they prioritize versus what I think. But with all that said I will keep years of service, vacation, and retirement benefits in tact. Thanks to everyone for all of the thoughts and prayers. If you dont believe that they have true meaning then you have been more blessed than me. I have certainly been blessed by all. Thanks again.

Thanks again all. I find this to be a relief for now but I cant help but to see this coming again and again. I think this is just where big business is and will continue to go. I know its not personal and that corporate business is self serving. Its got me motivated more to look for opportunities that I can control. Stupid thing was that among the things I was worried about the tank made the list.

my business has done very well this year.seems the economy is turning the corner .remember no matter what size a business is they still need the little people to make money.its probably not in their good interest to lay too many workers off .because when business does pick up and it will.they are probably smart eneough to think some layed off workers wont want to come back to them.
business need to realize they have to suffer with less profit and pay workers just to keep them for when the good times come back.glad to hear you are still there and hang in there .

Update, 2 weeks knowing I have a position and still no word on what my new salary will be or what all of my accountabilities will be. Gotta love it.
