I'm sure this has been asked before but I figure it was a good time to start the thread over. I just love the picture to id thread so this will be a close cousin thread.
I'm a senior actuary at a large insurance company. In other words, I work with a lot of numbers which is probably why I test my water parameters so darn often

I'm a writer.
I am currently employed by an aircraft manufacturer writing training and safety modules.
I am also working on 2 books, both fiction. One is a spinoff of the Starwars movies and the other is a crime drama set in the 1920's era of the south.

I'm the accounting manager for a Bang & Olufsen dealer. B&O is a super high end audio/video brand. We have clients like the rapper "Pit Bull", Mark Blount (basketball player) and we just got a job doing one of the Miami Dolphins' house (cant remember which one though.) I love my job.

I thank my stars every day and when someone needs info, help, a sounding board (or their paycheck!) I try to remember to be grateful for the work!
I am in Payroll/HR at a design and build company in Southern Oregon.

I fixed broken cars for most of my life.
A couple years ago my wife was promoted to a comfortable position and I quit/retired.
Last year I did some computer hardware, electronic and camera upgrade work for my wife's company as an independent contractor. They were kind enough to send me a 1099 and I had to figure out how to pay tax on the nearly 20K they paid me last year. I did learn, however, that employers pay half of your SS tax and if you are self employed you get to pay both halves. The moral of this story is......If you don't have to work...DON'T!!
ps.......I re-retired.
