Mine for the most part too. THe current owner, which the store has always been owned by his family, has been in the business for 15 years. He will only hire saltwater sales people who 1)have first hand experience(tank of their own) and 2) demonstrated knowledge of saltwater systems. I have been told on several occassions over the 10 or so years I've been going there that something I was interested in would not be ok for my tank. They are really good at asking lots of questions about your tank(water parameters, livestock, size, ectc.). And they offer alternatives if something is not ok for your tank.
This excludes when based on my desciption of green glass-like balls, the bubble algea in my tank was ,unknowingly to me, mis-ID'd as a type of sponge that was harmless. Two weeks pass I am still concerned b/c also I have a forrest of aiptasia(so I found out)growing. I find saltwaterfish.com and find the real ID's. With plans of gettin some emeral crabs and pep. shrimp, just for fun I took one of the bubble algea with aiptasia growing on it, surprise aonther guy gave me the correct ID. Although, partly my fault for possibly giving a bad description, it was still bad advice. I now only get info from the owner and the second guy, who has helped much in the past.
