Hi, I just got my custom 190 gallon this month. It was not any more expensive than an in stock tank but just took longer to get. I had a 90 gallon in the Oceanic medium oak color and wanted a bigger tank in the medium oak but Oceanic no longer makes this color which is a shame as it is the only color that goes with our furniture. Found out that a company called Deep Sea aquatics makes the old medium oak color as they used to make tanks for Oceanic many years ago and broke off into this new company a few years ago. Well, I wanted the 6 foot long by two foot wide tank which in standard terms is either the 180 which is 24 inches tall, or the 210 (or 215, not sure), which is 29 inches tall. Well to make a long story short I did not want to have a tank that is 29 inches as my arms only reach 26 inches. I wanted taller than a 24 inch as it tends to look too short. I asked them if they could make me a tank 26 inches high and that is exactly what they did, so now I am the proud owner of a 190 plus gallon reef ready tank with medium oak trim and medium oak stand.
My stock list is as follows, and they are all getting along fairly well.
Majestic angelfish (4 and a half inches now)
Goldflake angelfish (a little over 5 inches now)
Flame angelfish
Pair of percula clowns
Scotts fairy wrasse (almost 6 inches)
Rosy-scales fairy wrasse Cirrhilabrus rubrisquamis (3 inches)
Algea blenny (don't know the real name)
Goby...small cleaner type 1 and half inches
I put the two large angels in at the same time and they spar at each other every now and then but are getting along better every day and no torn fins or anything. Saw them swimming around together this morning with no problems. Just put them together a few days ago. They both ignore the little flame angel. The two wrasses get along fine. Nobody bothers the clowns, the blenny or the little goby. I would love to put a scribbled angel in there too but think it may be pushing my luck. I don't really do many corals. I do have a brain coral that no one bothers, and they have not eaten my red mushrooms yet. I think I may try to add a couple of small polyped hard coral frags as I don't think angels bother these but am not sure.Don't want a lot of corals as I don't want to have to add massive amounts of calcium or add metal halides and a chiller. I just have the power compacts with the atinic and the moon lights which still cost almost $500 for the 6 footer. I just put in some cool looking caulerpa proleifera plant into the display. It will help to reduce the nitrates and dissolved organics in the tank and so far the fish have not taken to eating it and it looks pretty cool. Lesley

Hi Signguy...I recently moved cross country, left behind my 135 with a friend.
Huma Trig (7 years old)
Porky Puffer
Niger Trig
Sailfin Tang
Snowflake Eel
Achilles Tang (7 years old) died about a month before the move

I plan to start a 180, or 220, or 240 later this year. As big as my wife will allow.
