uhh....shoes on the other hand.....well........lets just say
"my name is Leslie and I am a flip/flop---sandal aholic"
THERE........I said it.

things aren't romantic because you can tell your friends and they get jealous... for example... i could talk about girth or length, that could make my friends jealous, but that's not romantic... therefore your definition of romance sucks!
ro‧man‧tic  /roʊˈmæntɪk/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[roh-man-tik] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation
–adjective 1. of, pertaining to, or of the nature of romance; characteristic or suggestive of the world of romance: a romantic adventure.
2. fanciful; impractical; unrealistic: romantic ideas.
3. imbued with or dominated by idealism, a desire for adventure, chivalry, etc.
4. characterized by a preoccupation with love or by the idealizing of love or one's beloved.
5. displaying or expressing love or strong affection.
6. ardent; passionate; fervent.
7. 8. of or pertaining to a musical style characteristic chiefly of the 19th century and marked by the free expression of imagination and emotion, virtuosic display, experimentation with form, and the adventurous development of orchestral and piano music and opera.
9. imaginary, fictitious, or fabulous.
10. noting, of, or pertaining to the role of a suitor or lover in a play about love: the romantic lead.
–noun
romance is a display of love, and dominos, a pack of CL and a MNF game only display your love of sports and alcohol... jerk-face

fine but you can't site yourself when the thread's purpose is to make generalizations. i don't pee on toilet seats but it IS a traight that follows most men.

yes but the 2nd part of his question was why do you consistently buy NEW dresses & shoes instead of wearing the same ones twice. if that's you're answer then you're basically saying that the LACK of use for the product intices you to buy MORE of the product. makes absolutely no sense at all.
neither do women....

not when they're worn twice a year.
besides, most men get stress relieve and enjoyment outt've watching football. most households involve the man bringing home the majority of $$. this money is made from jobs that involve efficient productivity. since adequate leisure time OFF hours = more productive time ON hours then i think it's fair to say that football helps bring in a good amount of $$ into the household.
this helps buy more shoes for the nagging wife. so more pairs are bought but the man gets frustrated that they're seldomly worn. so nowwww we have frustration during off-hours, thanks to the wife's IMPRACTICAL spending habits. workplace productivity goes down, less income comes in, the man is frustrated and turns to football.
so you see folks, this is all just a simple cycle of the woman dragging the household down and the man picking it back up.
oh that last sentence reallly struck a nerve, eh ladies? cue the posts about child bearing and housekeeping to justify adequate household contribution...

it shouldn't be. jen made a fair disclaimer. all hippies, femenists, and other groups lacking an overall sense of humor most likely exited the thread after 1st post.

Nope won't do that, can't have a debate with males about this topic since I don't believe the males involved are married and have children.

it's true! most jobs out there will involve some degree of overtime, bonus, or commission. these can all repressent a very large amount of the income brought in and all three are DIRECTLY affected by attitude.

honey........not just men get bonus, or commission as you stated. In fact most salaired jobs don't pay overtime. And I had to have a little giggle at your comment about the efficent productivity since the males participating on this board are generally at work. SNAP

forgettin the generalization factor me love.
1. i never said JUST men get the three. but the majority of American households involve the man being the primary wage-earner.
2. you're right. most salaried jobs DON'T pay overtime. but most of em have some degree of bonus. nearly EVERY hourly job does pay overtime though. and there's tons of fields (real estate, general sales, self employment) where commission is the sole detriment in the paycheck. therefore, MOST jobs out there involve at least 1 of those 3 factors.
3. there are over 100 million working males in America. this represents a larger number than the SWF.com participants.
oh, and wear something warm. it's been getting kinda chilly lately!
