Hey guys wondering what special requirements are needed for clams I have a standard 125 reef tank 2in sand bed 130lbs live rock. I have nova extreme pro 72in T5 lights. Am I setup to get a clam? I know there a few different types but what sets them apart?

Ummm.... my deresa did very well under PCs. Lived for years and grew to be huge. We lost him in a move. He got left in a bucket without a heater or flow.... for a few days :-( We also have a blue spot deresa in a JBJ 24g with standard lights.
Cranberry, did you have it on the sand or on the rocks?

the nova pro would be enough for any clams with proper placement. crocea and maxima need to go on rockwork middle to top of tank. deresa and squamosa could stay on the sandbed. remember water parameters r important too when it comes to tridacnic clams.
