You'd think so but I am not so sure. What happened to Bill Clinton I think was the perfect solution. Impeachment is about what is right for the country and putting Algore in charge wouldn't have been a good thing but Clinton's misdeed was forever made part of the public record. But to this day you have Democrats claiming it was about sex when in fact it was about perjury by the president of the United States. The media never corrects that spin. There is another case going on right now regarding a Democrat official and a 17 year old boy. I doubt that gets a fraction of the media time this will.

Well, for sure President Obama isn't going to call a press conference to denounce the raping of a 17 year old boy by a Democrat. That privledge is only reserved for Republican screwups.
I'm surprised Romney and Ryan aren't jumping on this one with guns blazing. Especially since Ryan is a closet homonphobe.
This Rep. Gauthier is a State Representative. He isn't in the House or Senate.

You guys are missing my whole point. It isn't to legitimize akin. Or say its ok because so and so did this or that.
I'm flat out saying they are full of bs getting worked up about akin without being worked up about Ted Kennedy, (hell he killed a woman), clinton at least sexually assaulted 3-4 women if not more, obama voted to kill babies who survived an abortion.
So until I see equal if not more outrage for that, it isn't isn't about women, its just using rape as a means to get votes...

In the grand scheme of politics this dufus got caught stealing a candy bar. Hopefully he drops out of the race but I guess a poll taken in the last two days shows him basically tied which means he will probably stay in the race.
1. He is still in the running after comments like this...What does this say about the incumbent he is trying to defeat? Are the people that ignorant of what he said, or is his opponent just that bad?
2. Why did the DNC donate huge sums of money to his campaign?
Darth (don't just look at the surface) tang

Did the DNC donate money? Can you show me an informative article on that subject? I know they ran an ad calling him a conservative

Did the DNC donate money?  Can you show me an informative article on that subject?  I know they ran an ad calling him a conservative
This is several days old...can't find the original I read, but it touches on the 1.5 million dems gave him to win his primary.

I wouldn't call it a donation per say, but the ads were placed at the right time to give him the boost he needed during the primary.

Saying that a woman can ward of pregnancy by willing it away after a rape is considered having values? You have one warped perception of what values are. Who was the Lousiana moron that was a known KKK member that ran for Governor that time. I guess him "sticking to his guns" about his disdain for minorities would be considered having "values" in your mind. Giving this creaton a pass just because you prefer Conservatives over Liberals just shows how backwards the thinking in this country has become.
I thought Robert Byrd was from Virginia. Another fine Democrat who got a complete pass when using the N word on national TV in the 1990s but theres no liberal bias in the media.

Who is they and why do you care what they do or don't do?
Who really is pulling the strings? Lol
But seriously, if the supposed arbiters of politics. Media, get worked up about some guy saying something asinine, like this, then you have all the powers that be on the left going bonkers about it. It just doesn't make sense... He didn't rape anyone, he didn't sexually Harrass anyone, he didn't kill anyone. There are people in politics who have done just that, and they are championed and herolded...
Which leaves only one grotesque conclusion, these people doing this are doing so out of a feigned indignation... Using rape, to further their political agenda...
Look what he was was bizarre and off the wall stupid, we need articulate brilliant people to further the conservative agenda. He should have gone. Because this is bigger than one guy with his foot in mouth.
If these were just honest people we wouldn't just be tar and feathering akin....

The statement provides an insight as to what this guy believes about abortion and other social issues. I'd take a bet that this guy actually believes what these ignorant "scientist" or whoever gave him these outlandish "scientific facts" that a woman's body is capable of warding off a pregnancy after being traumatized by rape. If he's capable of going off on this bizarre tangent about rape and abortion, what else is he capable of doing or believing? We don't need someone in the Senate that can be persuaded or swayed by stupid conspiracy theories or junk science making critical legal decisions that can affect all of us for years to come.
"Articulate brilliant people to further the conservative agenda"? So are we to expect Romney to come walking up to the convention podium wearing a little mustache and holding his arm out erect? "Ve vil do vhatever is necessary to rid this world of the evil known as Liberalism!" Apparrently Looney Tunes Slick Rick has you brainwashed.

So by your standards 0bama is a Muslim who thinks there are 57 states. I really don't care what a candidate thinks about abortion one way or another. I think this guy needs to get out because he has hung himself. If there was a chance they could pass a constitutional amendment outlawing all abortions I'd feel differently.

You should care what social policies a candidate believes in. Apaprently that's the main agenda of the RNC. Romney keeps flip-flopping on his stance on abortion, and wanted the issue low-key. Now this Akin dude walks in, sticks his foot in his mouth, and the cat is out of the bag. Ryan even called him to ask him to drop out of the race.
Uh, did you read the main "oath" the RNC is pushing during the convention next week? That's exactly what they want to do. They want an amendment that states life starts at conception, and makes it unlawful to have ANY abortion, including those that would be performed in the case of rape and iincest. Romney's camp won't even commit to have him state this proclamation during the convention because he even disagrees with some of the context of the clause.

I saw a GREAT movie on The Documentary Channel, it was called What Black Men Think. It was very profound. If anyone gets a chance, they should watch it. I didn't know before watching it that MalcomX and I agreed so much.
