You guys are brave!
It may take a little bit for the male to show up again. That being said, keep an eye out. When I kept Purple Queen Anthias, I had one that went into hiding and never came out, died in the cave and caused my parameters to be a mess for a few days before I could figure out what caused it.

I can see where it is....so I know it is alive....although...if it were to die...I have plenty of scavengers

They're notorious for this, but for some odd reason I thought I could tame the beasts, LOL. I tried numerous time and wound up with the same result each time: Hid in a rock and rotted away. Always chose some hole that half my CUC couldn't get into

I know the pink you speak of. Mine is purple. They can move, but they rarely do and it's usually just a repositioning. Don't tuck the "other end" in an obscure place because they can turn around in their tube and poke themselves out the other end.
Nice critters you have there.
What camera are you using?

sorry about the male anthias, but the dominant female will change ---. IME, females are hardier than males, so it's not super surprising you lost him.

it's usually best to have at least 3 specimens, as 2 will likely square off and fight.
