I enjoy going to a fish store by us to look at what they are calling a Hippo fish(?) very large solid pinkish blob of a fish looks prehistoric IMO. selling price is $1200.00! Hasn't sold yet! Go figure.

I assume the price is $150.00 (apparently my mind cannot accept the other zero)
So my question is would you pay 1500.00 for a fish?
It would have to come with a life time guarantee, which it never would, so no, I wouldn't spend that on a fish, a dog maybe, but not a fish

Shop around and you can find them for $1000, I wonder if they throw shipping in for free? The kicker would be FREE shipping, but we are going to charge you a box fee...

So what is the reason for the high cost of a Clarion ? Is it because of the lack of availability? or are they near extinction ?
