I just changed the title.... gonna rearrange some of my posts to this first thread :)
I've decided this year to start to keep tabs of expenses.... just for kicks and giggles. I'm tallying everything from equipment to basic food.
Anyone else brave enough to record?
I think it will be interesting at the end of the year.

Well, this will be my expenses thread. I don't know about putting up fish prices... that may be tacky. I've always kept track of the fish part: When, Where, How much etc etc. Maybe a grand finale fish total and the end of the year.
Give y'all an idea, who don't want to calculate, what goes into this hobby.
Think I'll get a kill-o-watt meter thing and really scare the life out of myself. We are in the highest Tier as far a electricity and pay a premium per KW. Stay tuned for that.
So it starts....

Cranberry I will put it to you this way. My LFS owner LOVES TO SEE ME COME IN THE DOOR. If I get out of there for less than 80 bucks in Frozen FOOD every 2 weeks he wonders what happened. I bought his wifes Chirstmas Present this year a set of Diamond Earings that tell you how much I spend at my LFS a month. Not to mention the lights I just bought 400 there and then 120 for a skimmer for my wifes 44 and then when tax time comes need a better sump for my Big tank. I normally get a package of frozen fish eggs everytime I go in that give you a clue how much I spend there.

I balance fish expenses against money saved on Shrinks, Prozac,

[hr]
, hookers, extra booze, broken furniture, etc.; I figure my fish save me money.

I kept a tab once. My X insisted. He used to wake me up and ask what the balance on the credit card was.
I think I'll do it, just so I can kick up my heels and say I spent whatever the hell I wanted to...so I'm in.
Don't forget to tally the RO/DI fiters.
