Don;t know if I could do it LOL
some times ignorance is bliss. Besides it just creates a paper trail that the spouse could find, then I'd really be up a creek.
aquariums are worse than smoking...

LOL...I just ordered hubby a new shotgun from Cabelas

and in a couple of weeks he's getting a new muzzle loader ( as soonas we find the right one)
I think I'm still way ahead on my spending though

So far this year?
2 - GFO/Carbon reactors -- 120
GFO/Carbon -- 50 -60?
Calcium - 17
Mag sulfate/chloride 35
Alk - 17
Misc supplies 20-30
Shipping - 30
Salt - 43
All are rough off the top of my head but if I truly kept tabs I'm sure the wife would send them packing but they keep me sane sometimes (when they dont' drive me crazy).
On a plus side I did sell a few corals yesterday for 80.00.

I did a mental calculation in my head last night. Over the last 6 months I probably spent at least $1200 so I honestly am scared to keep track. The month of January 2010 is probably already at 250.

yeah...this isn't fair...I am in the process of stocking my 125, which is more than double the size of my previous tank...I still have most of my stocklist to purchase, looking for a few Koralia powerheads, and looking to purchase a new protein skimmer...I would jump out in traffic if I saw the total amount at once...it doesn't sting NEARLY as much when you see $150 here and $220 there.

I would LOVE to know what I spent on this hobby since I started including all the household items I've torn apart, or modified, to use in/on or around my tanks.

I'm game. Not exactly sure all's there, as it's been 18days of Jan. and I haven't kept records. I've not included shipping costs on some and have on others. My 240gal build is ongoing so I'll keep that a separate point. These are just things I've known I bought in Jan. I'll lump them together as I get more (all the "food" for instance)
