Why did you deside to go sandless? Nice tank though! Nice selection of corals!
well when i set the tank up to start with i had about 30lbs of CC/sand mixture already cured cycled and ready to go so i just used that.
After the tank had been running since around 6-8 months now the CC was just collecting alot of detritus and i was worried that eventually it would cause nitrate problems.
Now going barebottom i can keep the bottom pretty well clean and any detritus suspended and my skimmer can pull it out. Im thinking this will give me a overall better water quality.
This tank has about 30lbs of rock in the display, another 4-5 lbs in its HOB fuge and 500 or so bioballs in its wetdry filter. Along with a AquaC EV-180 skimmer "extreme overkill on this size tank but it wasn't being used so i decided to throw it at this tank".
also i have a little 13w 50/50 light fixture that came with my pico tank that i have turned upside down and it shines up thru the bottom at night. pretty cool set of night lights if you ask me. And i really love the look it gives the tank at night.

TANK IS AWESOME!!
Yeah but I can't think of a nano reef as too much bioload even though I've heard many times that they are. It's just me I guess.

Very true. I wish I haven't had such bad expierences with mine because right now my tank needs mine, but my dad is to cautious to set it back up.
