How do you keep your frag tank looking so clean?
Any tank I have had stay clean because of heavily packed chaeto refugium, but I am not big into fish. Right now I have 2 in my 50 tub and that is all. Same with mobile inverts. I have 1 emerald crab so total waste is practically non-existant. The fish I have only get fed 2 times a week, but that is all they need the type they are. If I had lots of fish I doubt the tanks would stay as clean without actually cleaning them daily.

The 50 gl stays clean, but there is really nothing to give undesirable algae a chance to grow. In other words, I have no magic cure. Wish I did. Balance and going slow is really what you have to learn. By going slow and getting used to how the LR and refugium work along with the water and salt you are using you will develope a 'feeling/sense' for what, when you can add livestock, etc. Believe me, I have been keeping reefs (mostly nanos) for over 15 years now and it is jsut in the last few years that I developed the patience to work a reef tank.

What is coral frenzy and which company makes it ? I have some stuff my lfs sells called Fish Crack..LOL. Its just frozen red cyclopeeze but boy does everything go crazy for it. My fish literally go wild in the tank when i put it in. lol. AWESOME FTS By the way. Do you have any pictures of your actual reef tank or do you sell stuff out of all your tanks ? Do you have just 1 you maintain for yourself to look at and admire ?

i have coral frenzy but not too many corals just a couple acros, mushrooms, rics, xenia, gsp, candy cane, frogspawn and devils hands. But they all seem to be thriving in my tank. I dip my finger in the tank then put it in the coral frenzy and then put my finger back in the tank next to a power head and let it shoot it all over the place. The chromis go crazy for it. And i think the corals like it too.
