Zoanthids: Some Eyecandy!

Good lights and flow. I have better growth now that I switched from MH to VHO. I feed my fish a lot. I think zoanthids benefit from a well fed tank.
Main thing is... put them in a spot and don't mess with them. If you move them, their growth resets as they re-adjust to the new lighting.

That zoo colony #20 is freakin awesome!
I don't ever see anything like that in my lfs. Come to think of it, I haven't seen any like that on any coral website to purchase!!!
Makes my green ones look like crap in comparison!

They are actually pretty common. They are sometimes listed as "eagle eyes". I also have a small colony of them I got as a frag from my LFS a few months ago, and they have some more of them right now. Can't be too hard to come by.

These guys are way cooler than the photo shows. The really pop under actinics, but they look lavender/blue/purple under my daytime setup (5 actinics, 2 10000k's).

Very nice... I've been through this whole frag, and im sorry if I missed it but how many gallons is that tank?

VHO huh, well i'll be....are they a lot cheaper. or cheaper at all, then MH? I kinda decided i think brigheter lights would be nice, but i sure as heck don't want to spend 400 on a system....let alonst the 130 i already did,lol.
