Thank you all for responding .... after reading all your posts this is what i'm thinking 1st i have used tap water since set up which was April 13th...never had a problem until now 2nd the red your talking about would that be from feeding the urchins and sea apple the phytoplex ? plus i add...

BLUE HIPPO TANG.They are a really nice blue colour and move all over the tank..I have 1 and they are a real blue which pops out when you look at the tank ..imo

my tank recycled and now i have the brown crap again!!!! plus i have green and red all over my glass ,i keep cleaning it but damn it's hard to get off ...no new fish were put in ,no rocks etc etc why would it recycle on me ???

i agree thats how i feed mine ,i have three which i was having a hard time feeding i was told to use thawed mysis in my suringe and it has worked great for me too:)

i had cc on the bottom of my tank and it held everything in it ,had to vac ans vac and vac i switched to argagonite and i like it alot better...but sand..... looks so much nicer (kicking myself for not going that way ..

if you want something that is not live rock and "cheap" go with travitine rock ,in my tank i have lots of tonga,lots of fiji plus travinitne and lava (some people hate lol) plus some home made ones i made and mine looks great with all the different types of rock .it depends on what u like but...

and yes "not reef safe" but at the time i was told different by the store...Good luck finding someone who can help you

ok i will thank you..when i got my tank i just got the tube stand and by husband is building me a base around it plus the canopy i just need to get his butt moving on it ...lol

I have a fire fish and it has never tried to jump out but my tank is pretty much covered right up fo my diamond goby (had one jump out and die before) i only have one ,i was told by 2 stores aswell as just about everyone on here that only one or they will fight to kill

I have alot of tonga aswell as alot of fiji and i like both i also have lava and travitine in my tank as a mix (I know that they are not live and that people on here hate lava).it's just a matter of the look you want ,i love the holes and the old look to the fiji myself .

I had an angel in my reef tank but mine was a queen and it died do to it scratching it's eyes out on the rocks,the pet store said they do but i came on here and was told no they don't but indeed it did...plus they pick on feather dusters and my star fish aswell as my flame scallops...he swam...

ok thank you ,i just keep hearing that you need 5-8 watts per gallon so i wasn't sure just for watts if they would work then add the proper (colour lights) on aswell.. i don't know how people get all that light/watts where do you put your lights ? ,there is little space on the top of my tank...
