Definitely weird. I double checked, checked calibration, and even dug out the glass hydrometer just to see what it had to say. still at 1.027 Just glad to know he is doing well despite the weird salinity. Keep me posted on how he is doing.

Holy Cow! I had him in a floating breeder box in my tank after the failed mailing attempt the week before. So the water I shipped him in was my tank water which I just checked (refrac) and my salinity is 1.027.

Why, what did I send with him?

I rarely dose. Regular water changes, with a good salt mix, take care of most everything. Seeing that you have the algea and cyano bacteria going on I am curious. What are your water parameters: Ca, Alk, ammonia, nitrite, and nitrates (numbers if you please)? What do you have in your tank for...

He is still here. The shipping place was being a pita last week. They weren't sure that the package would get there by Saturday, mind you this was Tuesday and I was asking for overnight or 2nd delivery. I am going to try again before work tonight to send him on his way.
