    help me pick next fish

Since you don't seem to have any fish that like to burrow or hang out on the bottom of the tank, how about some type of blenny or gobie? Diamond Goby, Scooter Blenny, Blue Gudgeon, Goldenhead Sleeper, Bar Goby, etc...I could keep going. Even a mandarin goby if you have enough food in your tank...

    Which Salt to use?

I too use Instant Ocean and have been very happy so far! There is another thread on here about how long to let your water sit after it is mixed. You might want to check it out as well. Good luck with the addition of a saltwater tank. Welcome aboard! :)

Name or Not to Name That is the ?

I'm no longer allowed to name my fish. I apparently curse them when I do. If my friends or husband name them, they do fine! Go figure! But anyway, here's what have names, spread through several different tanks: 4 Bettas, 2 each in split tank: At work - One fish, two fish (aka Frick & Frack)...

    Adding a blue damsel?

I wouldn't put any more fish in there, period. <img src="graemlins//uhuh.gif" border="0" alt="[U-Huh]" /> Especially not a blue damsel! Mean little buggers. And what's the mandarin eating? Do you have plenty of copepods, or are you lucky enough to have found one that will eat something else?

if you have a firefish click here please...

In my opinion you can't go wrong with a firefish. I have replied to guite a few posts while singing their praises. :D I have a pair of the "red" (magnifica), the cheapest of the three. The purple and heilfrichi (sp?) are beautiful as well. My first one was killed by a more aggressive...

sponge too big for tank! (goes very off topic)

OH...MY....GOD... I have just read through all this stuff and wasted almost 2 hours of my precious worktime. I couldn't pull myself away no matter that I wanted to! Now I will probably have to stay late to finish up. Noone to blame but myself. Pics are hilarious folks! I felt bad laughing...

    food for yellow tang?

I'm with "Tacks"....get a veggie clip and put some seaweed selects on it. Mine loves it. He also eats a little flake food. I think the algae/veggie clip is your best bet as there is nothing there for him to graze on. He'll be able to snack on the algae at his leisure. If your tang is...

How often do you go to the LFS??

I go at least once a week to an LFS. Unfortunately the close ones only sell freshwater fish. if I want to look at things for my reef tank, I have to hop in the car for 1/2 hour drive or so. Not too bad. I only go to those maybe once every two weeks now unless I'm already in the area and stop...

    green star pollyps

I had some new growth on my green star polyps that I recently cut away. I simply got a pair of small sharp scissors and cut off what was hanging and laid it across another rock. No glue or anything. It's growing like crazy and attaching itself. A few days later I got the scissors back out and...
