Calc paste will kill most corals. I apply it with a syringe.

I'll say frogspawn, though it could be a hairy mushroom or a rock nem maybe.

I don't think a missing peppermint shrimp in a 30g is the cause of your high phosphate reading. If you have any clean up crew, they probably took care of the pep. What's your water source? What do you feed?

I usually prep the water one day and do a 20% change the next morning before the lights come on. I think it less stressful since most fish are still hiding anyway...

Yep, wrasses are famous for this. My Leopard wrasse was very confused when we lost power with Gustav and I didn't run the lights. He would come out when the lights were supposed to come on and then go back into hiding
