    Tangs

jamie if your so into buying these nice expensive tangs why spend so little on their tank. only a65g setup is pretty cheesy for a collection of tangs. i have 4 tangs in a 175g and feel that is just enough space for them. they have been in it for 3+ years and grown alot.

How many more fish and what do you suggest?

my powder blue lives in a 6ft 175gal tank and this seems small for his size of 9 inches and being a very active swimmer. 90gal smallish but people do want they want so i won't go there. A pair of purple tile gobies and a flame angel would make a colorful and interesting display.

I have 5 percs and a pair of tomato clowns sharing a 135 gal reef tank peacefully but i did add them all at the same time. so no one had an established territory to defend against new intruders. good luck

what else can i stock my tank with

becareful xhappy you have been getting some non-reefsafe and semi-aggressive suggestions above. once you add a problem fish in a reef tank they cause havoc and are very very hard to recapture and remove! many butterfly and wrasse fish are well known not to be reef safe! a bicolor angel may...

    Question about triggers!

if you like triggers alot and do not want to risk your reef inhabitants, if $ not a problem set up a fish only tank and get what ever trigger you want. however, if you like a very aggressive type his fellow fish tankmates will require more careful selection. i believe even the mellow non-coral...

    combining fish help

yellow tangs do better in groups of 5 or more were the aggression is more dispersed. the dwarf angels combine well the bigger the tank, the more liverock in the tank, the more dissimmular looking, and if added at the same time will increase you success. i comboed a flame, bicolor and lemonpeel...

    new tank

can you tade in the 55g and go to a 6ft tank like a 125g? this would open up alot more options, especially the awesome blue hippo tang! in general fish that stay under 5in do well in a 55g. the dwarf angel group has some colorful options for a 55g ex) flame, bicolor, lemonpeel, golden...

    Aquacultured Deresa Clam

both clams and most anemones rely on intense amounts of light to sustain the symbotic algae they host in their tissue and most often survive much longer under metal halide lighting! your water quality must remain high and stable as well! Good luck! :D

    Powder blue tang?

My powder blue shares a 175g tank with a yellow, a purple and a naso tang. I added the PB tang last and that was 1.5 yrs ago. I did lose a couple PB before finding this hardy specimen and I kept him isolated in a large breeder net for 10 days before letting him join the gang. I feel this was key...
