Ive been noticing that my nurse hasnt been as aggresive as ussal at feeding time. Also it takes more time for her to get down the food. And last at the last gill slit on both sides look unsual they look concaved in. Anybody have similar problems and solutions? Thanks
When I got she was eating ghost shrimp. When she got into the pond she accepted about every food and got more agressive day by day.she eats mostly silverside and krill.
They had one at the store I go to. I allways thought that this species wouldnt require that much of space as thougth of. I would think 500gs would b enough. They are just like the freshwater musky which I go fishing for. There mostly hovering in the open not swimming until food or danger enters.
Its not grossly undersized . If you are talking about a coral cat shark thats a pretty good size. If its a bamboo Id say you need about a 240 plus. I would feed him squid krill silversides . I wouldnt feed him ghost shrimp unless he refuses to eat.
Where I am located they are illegal so I am desperatly looking for one. Ive had one in the past. I have a 800gpond and I mite even get a addition on the house so im probly going larger one out of cement as large as i can get it. Ive had sharks for about 5 yrs.Email me at arf123452003@yahoo.com
Ive never had an epaulette but this local fish store has two large males and their active most of the day. Shark boy when I added up the gallons I got 780 but i could be wrong.
I had a coral cat and there personally not a favroite of mine. They mostly hide as much as they can during the day. But they are vary active during the night. I suggest a bamboo. When I had them they were all vary active. They are hardy and should do good in a 200.
For filteration I have 100g sump.Imade the biocontainer for bioball filteration. Then I bought a used skimmer. I bought it from a fish store I go to reguarly. Then I have the sock on it.Heres a pic of it
Im really big with sharks. In the future I know I will have a large enough system. And that will be in a long time. Ive had her about 4 months and shes grown about a centermeter or 2.
