    As long as your rock and sand were precured everything else is good. You should already have pods in your tank but you can seed the fuge with more if you like.

    MH is the best lighting and t-5s are second. IMO dont use PC. Use sand but live sand is a waste of money and DO NOT vacume. And I know nothing about canister filters. I have a fluval 205 and 405 and dont use either I would suggest a sump/fuge. Anything else ask away. JMO

    Bio-balls have water drain over them not submerged. Live rock has to stay submerged. Correct%%. If so how would you replace the bio-balls with live rock(in the same space)?

    Brother Ive been there, all I did was do water changes and add de-nitrate and reduce feeding. It took several week but I didnt lose anything. Good luck and just stick with the wc.

    Did someone tell him to get all the rock in now or he could end up with a mini cycle. Try the two islands and see how it looks. Ive seen others and looks sweet. But that could be hard if you stick to the 1.5lb/2lb per gallon.
