They do eat coraline, but some people argue that they help spread the spores also, helping more grow.

    coral cleanage

If you want to get them to be white again (or what ever color), stick them outside in the sun for a day or two, it should naturally bleach them, then you don't have to worry about any dangerous chemicals getting into your tank.

    Newbie With a few questions

Chances are you aren't you won't be able to keep the Octopus. They pretty much need a dedicated tank. They are amazing escape artists, and can get out of just about any opening, with all the filtration hanging on the back chances are it will climb out. Also, with a shark i don't think it...

    Yates-

It is a legal thing why she was only tried for 3 murders.... You can't be on trial for the same thing more then one time. That way if something went wrong in this trial (ie- she was found not guilty) they could try her again for the other 2 kids. 2 or 3 counts of murder are more likely to get...

    woohoo! got my eel...um.....????

Also, use a feeding stick or tongs to feed it. If you drop food from the top it is used to traveling to the top of the tank looking for food, so if it is hungry it may jump out.

    Strange RED Algae

I had a similar problem. My water conditions were fine. Then all of a sudden i got this plague of algae. I couldn't figure out what it was, until i changed my light bulb. I think the older bulbs were giving off a different spectrum of light that was great for this algae.... if your bulbs are...

    ell ?

$275's a great price if it is an Hawaian Dragon Eel, if it is a mexican Dragon eel it is a bit high. Someone posted pictures of both in a previous post. It could do pretty well, in a 75 alone, bigger would be better when it is full grown. The main problem is they can get pretty aggressive...

    shark for a 90 gal.

Sorry, no. A 90 gallon tank is not large enough. Also, a shark would not be well suited for a reef. Even if it doesn't eat your inverts and other fish (which there is a really good chance it will), there is a good chance it will damage your corals while swimming around by knocking over the...

    EELS?

Snowflakes are hardy, and pretty easy to keep if you tank is big enough and there is no small fish or inverts. The tough ones to keep are ribbon eels.

    Temporary Tank

If you are just adding more sand you don't need to take the current sand out of the tank. If you want to take it out i suggest keeping it in a diffent container, so you don't cloud the water in the Rubbermaid where your fish are.

    Temporary Tank

Just a tip, i recently switched from CC to live sand, and i put everything (water, fish and rock) in a cheap 30 Gallon Rubbermaid Trash Can (it was like 8 bucks). I was able to put most of my water in the trash can and therefore did not need to due a massive water change and have to worry about...

    EEL thinks he's Mike Tyson

My eel did the same when i first got him, he tried to taste everything (fish, rocks, me) in the tank when i first feed them. After a couple of days he learned what was food and what wasn't, he doesn't even bother the fish anymore. He only goes after the chopsticks i use to bring him his food.
