It is my understanding that corals and inverts can be added as many as you want at a time. They arent like fish. Corals dont create a different bioload. So I have added as many as 10 corals at a time and havent had any problems.

His tank was set up using some live rock and a cup of live sand from an established reef tank. The rock has been fully cured as has teh sand. Should he still expect his tank to cycle if this is the case? I only know this because I was the one that gave him some rock and the sand. Just curious

I think his is a fixture that either sits on some brackets or hangs from the ceiling of his home. It covers the whole tank. So instead of having individual light fixtures on your tank you will just have one big one. They are nice. you could also look into doing some retro fit T-5 set ups...

best way that i have found is to use a tooth pick. Glue the tooth pick on to the rock then push the leather on to the toothpick. After you hve done that just put it in a low flow area and watch it grow to the rock you can remove the tooth pick or leave it in there. doesnt matter.
