so put LR where bio-balls were and UNDER the eggcrate too ?

so , no filter pads at all either - currently i use pura pad and a blue to catch stuff -

or , just put in place of bio-balls on top of the eggcrate and that's it ? btw , how much (#) should be put there ? - 90g fowlr 125 # LR in DT , 80 # LS -

i have had regular chemi-pure in my 90g fowlr for a yr now - i will try the new elite - i might be having the start of hair algea - i never did water changes, only top-offs - trates are around 100 - i started 25g weekly water changes last week -

if i change 20g every 7 days will i be able to get them down ? or will they build back up during the 6 off days , and i'll get nowhere ?
