Is copper toxic to sponges particulary Tree Sponges ?

lights will stay on for 8 hours a day cf 260 watts...however I dont not have any inverts in this tank.. as i might need to use copper or hypo if they get diseased...perhaps a LMB might work out if i have any algae problems..can algae hurt sponges ? sometimes if i see white stuff on them i hold...

I bought a yellow belley hippo today from my LFS hes going with another blue tang in the 55 for QT until they go into thier new LARGER homes...the blue tang is 3 inches the yellow belly is 6 inches...my question is i watched these fish for months and they were doing fine and under strong light...

correction this is a 120...yes this was taken b4 i removed all fish for QT a few weeks ago..

everrything seems ok now the only thing to watch it the 2 blue tangs 1 yellow belly and 1 regular blue tang being qt in the 55...if they fight i will have a problem...i wish my other 10 did not leak...

the only tangs i have now are purple blue and yellow belly blue ...the yellow tangs have been returned to the LFS and given to a a friend...

this yellow belly will go in the 120 with a purple tang...thats the plan the other hippo will go in the 80 alone it will be the only tang in there so i have a plan...it just got delayed since my 120 had ick...because i didint qt the fish those fish are in the 55 the other one full of fish the...

going into the 55 for qt will figure out a plan ill keep a close eye on them... thanks

thats very important info I got a 5+ inch yellow belly and a 3 inch blue tang...I was planning on QT in the 55...it's empty with 20 lb's of LR and some sponges and sand...so what do i do ? the yellow belly hippo was on sale half off and im friends with the owner..so I got it for $50.
