i recently added 2 clowns to my DT. i could have sworn both were eating in QT. now one just wont hold the food in. he goes for it then spits it out. fish have shown no signs of brook or ich. the one that isnt eat does have irregular stool<string dangling> both fish seem to be enjoying themselves...

So i purchased a pair ocellaris clownfish...put them in QT for 2 weeks. Tonight i have added them to the tank after lights out but im kinda nervous :scared: that my Yellowtail Damsel is going to fight with them. These are the damsels first friends to be added to the tank besides cleaning...

i heard somewhere on here that they used to be great a a few years back but got over harvested. now they collect them from deeper waters and thats why they die often. just what i heard

why dont you just leave the 55 setup as a qt since the hypo and all. start fresh w/the 125 JMO if you have space.

sounds like a molt to me...the molt looks exactly like a live hermit! its a very good idea to have some empty shells hangin around in the tank.

here we go...could definatly use the money for...live rock,live sand,fish,inverts. only 3 snails and 3 rocks in here. trying to get nitrates down w/caulerpa .

yeah i got turbos and they fall over all the time...usually in between the rockwork and go unnoticed for a day or two then BAM dead snails with nasty black goo bubbling from them. OH god the smell :scared: when removed. i'll never buy a turbo/astrea snail again. the nassarius snails IMO much...

Place a Cleaner Shrimp with a Coral Banded Shrimp. 46gbf 50+lbs live rock 40lbs live sand. lfs has good deal on the cleaners and i always wanted one. cbs is very cryptic...always hiding under rocks. has anybody done this? thanks in advance for your posts!

:scared: dont fear the reaper. while cycling with fish it puts undue stress on the fish. color loss is usually from stress. if your fish is on the bottom in the corner losing color w/ spots on it...thats sounds pretty bad... id say 2-3 days :scared: maybe a week. what is your water testing at...

ok so i think that these are the lights i want. 1. 36" coralife aqualight pc 2x96w 2 lunar lights or 2. 36" current usa satellite pc 2x96w 1 lunar light so both seem decent but not sure if 192w is good for most corals. is anybody using these fixtures? any better lights i should be lookin at...
