Some swear by it , and some dont bother.They sell here in the dry goods section. Ive had a tube in my fridge for months and rarely use it , Id rather soak my food in Selcon which also benefit the filter feeders. Its all a personal preference, Garlic or not HTH :p

Like previous stated if all is well leave it alone. I have MHs on from 9:00am to 7:00pm with the blues on an hour before and after.I have 2 175 MH which is strong lighting and have to constantly clean the algea off the glass.Thats the only down fall is the algea growth. :)

One of my first fish was a Royal Gramma, Very colorful but shy at first, once he gets use to his surroundings he stays out more,Everyone who see's the tank for the first time always compliments on the color of the Royal,He's a looker if you want color :)

I have red and blue hermits and they dont bother a thing, but I have no complaints as of yet.I have corals of different sort and they dont bother a thing. Maybe I should watch them more closly now. Sorry to hear about your monsters. All will be well one day :)

Its normal for them to hide for a while, When they get use to their surroundings he'll come out but might hide when you pop around the corner HTH

Its probably a mussel instead of a clam,Mussels are usually black in color

If your MH is yellow, id say its the wrong one for a tank, It may be the one for street lights, Where and when did you get it,They should be replaced every 12 months, I have 2 175w 10,000k bulbs and no yellow at all, Just check the bulbs HTH

I have a CBS and a Cleaner along with 6 peppermints. The CB doesnt bother any of them he just hangs in his spot, What happens when the lights go out is another story, but all are doing fine. :cool: But for your size id recommend the cleaner.

I have a glass now but had an acrylic and found it held the heat in a lot more, Its an incelator IMO :)
