Should College Students Be Allowed To Carry Weapons???

Im 22 years old and work at a death row prison. Before I worked here, i didnt feel the need to carry, but after I saw the "regular" people in prison for agg. crimes, i got my CC and started carrying my 9mm. I have a spare holster under my seat for when I go to a bank or my grandma's retirement...

I never do this or keep it going but i am this time

Thanks for posting that. My dad served 23 years in the military and 3 tours of duty in vietnam, kuwaiit, and korea. Its nice seeing someone appreiciate the job our troops are doing instead of bitching about who is going to win the election. If i had my way, bush would be in for another 8 years...

    Diy T-5?!?!

So how much are looking at total? For an 8 bulb set up average is around $400 i believe, but if you can do it yourself for like $150 that would be an awesome write up to help everbody out on lighting expense. I know i would really appreciate a good write up on it.

    Starting questions!!

Its alot more work, cuz you will probably want to keep your water that is mid cycle. Starting over in your new place will just prolong your cycle. I would wait, but then again im pretty impatient and i might start it and just do the extra work to move it.... its really up to you on how much work...

??? transferring to a new (bigger) tank

Thats sounds good. But remember that if you are making a new batch of water, let it sit for a couple days with some LR, then add everything else. And you probably will have left over water from your old tank, since your making new water. You will probably have a spike in nitrates since your...

my tank (and what I want to do)

Listen to these people. Nobody is trying to hurt/critisize you. They are just looking out for the fish. Tangs get fairly large over a period of time. the reason you haven't seen a large one is probably becuase LFS have a much easier time selling a smaller fish that looks like it will be fine in...

Need help understanding why my PH is low?

I dont have tests for anything but ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and PH. Next month im getting a Skimmer, New lights, and ill probably buy the API Reefmaster test kits so i can test those. What i want to know is what exactly is the relationship between those tests and why my PH is low.

How close to water line should T5's be

i keep mine probably 6 to 7 inches off the surface of the water becuase the small splashes of water keep getting on it. Im not so much worried about what it will do to the bulb, more about it getting water spots all over the reflector and dimming the output. If there are millions of tiny spots...

    new tank

Thats rated at about 70 gallons. If it was givin to you, then go with it, but definetly get maybe another one. Its ALWAYS better to over filter your tank than under filter your tank.

    Too Much Bio??

Thats kinda interesting. I was under the impression you shouldn't change your biowheels until they stop spinning. After they stop spinning they lose there biofilter and are useless. I wonder if maybe this is part of my nitrate problem.

Need help understanding why my PH is low?

Well i have a penguin biowheel 350 HOB filter. Its rated for 70 gallons, but its The tank is a 30 TALL, but i have two powerheads in it. One on the bottom under all my rock, and another aboiut midway up pointing across the front of the glass. My HOB filter does a good job of airating the water...

Upgrading to Hagen GLO HO T5 2x48watts for 10G

Hey i have the same light, only the single bulb version on my 30 gallon, and i love it. At the time i couldn't find anything better, so i got that. I was very impressed with it. But im looking at buying a nova extreme pro t5 HO next month. They have a 24" 6 bulb setup, which should let me keep...

Need help understanding why my PH is low?

Im having a hard enough time eliminating bubbles from my HOB filter, so i don't really want to add a air stone. I have a sandbed of about 1 1/2 to maybe 2 inches of black argonite in my tank. Tank has been running almost 4 months now.

    Cleaning?

I use a regular old gravel cleaner for my tank. Havent had any problems with it.

    cycle.

Add the rock to your tank. The only way your Nitrates are going to go down is if you have a clean up crew running non stop or you do a good size water change. It wont go down on its own for a little bit. So go ahead and do about a 50% water change, then add your live rock. Then wait another week...
