Question on new bulbs for reef tank?

Just a reminder to use something to filter the light from your new bulbs so you will not harm you corals from the stronger light. You can also raise you lights and then slowly lower them over the next few weeks.

    Tang Question

Sorry there are no tangs that can live in that size tank as they all need a lot of room to swim. Its better to get a smaller fish that will be happy. If you got a tang they will be stressed and a stressed tang = ich and the next thing all your fish will get it. Just not worth taking the chance

    Questions:

Oh forgot to say to do a large water change with the RO/DI water. Another good investment to keep hair algae away is a Phosphate reactor as phosphates are what is causing your algae problem and they are cheap less than $50 and worth their weight in gold.

    which one would you choose

I would keep away from Green star pulps as they are fast growers and can take over your tank There are a few on your list that have the ability to over grow your tank do a Google search on each one to see which ones are the slowest growers.

To start I would not listen to any advise he is giving you. Aip

They are very hard to get rid of but if you don't start they will take over your tank in a very short time. Do not try to remove by physical force as they will expel gametes when they are under attack and will spread all over your tank also any pieces left on your rock will grow new ones. Some...
