How many gallons can i fit in it?

So i could have like a 2" sand bed on my display tank and like a 6" on a 20-30G fuge and it would still be helpful with the filtration?

The thing is if it's 24"+ ( I originally wanted 30") I'll have to use 3/8" thick acryllic. If it's 20" i could use 1/2" thick acryllic and price wise it makes a big difference.......... So 20" minus whatever the DSB ends up being is what i'm considering as of now. Is that too shallow for a lion?

I'm going to end up building a tank most likely and i was wondering if 20" For the height is too short. Considering out of those 20", 5" would go for the DSB. The tank is gonna be 48" long by 30" wide. It'll be around 125 G. So is that too short? I'm planning on keeping lions, eels, a yellow...

the fuge and the sump would be separate, Sump on the bottom and the fuge (reef tank) on the top. What i'm wondering could my fuge be a reef tank or not?

I think i got this right now. Overflow is just the tube that will take the water down and out of the tank, right? The water goes down to the sump and the to the fuge and back to the tank. My thing is i want to go from the sump to the fuge (30G or so) and make the fuge a Reef tank. (My fuge...

40G for now (they r still tiny) until i get a bigger tank in about two months or so, including cycling time. I'm hoping 100+. As for pics i'll take some after walking my pitbulls...........

I was gonna make my own........... So should i leave the back completely open or just space enough for the filter?

What's the real use for a canopy? Other than housing lighting. Could i use a canopy if i'm using a Penguin 330 Power filter? Just route the back to fit it or would that interfere with the whole purpose of it...............
