I have a Berlin air lift 60. Do you have it adjusted to the water line? Mine works great. It gets alot of crap built up in the cup every day. So I know it's doing some good. If your cup has clear water in it, it's probably setting to low into the water. A good strong pump makes a big difference...

Is it normal for a yellow tang to act like it is blinded when the lights first come on in the morning? It runs into the glass and rock for a few minutes. Then is normal again.:notsure:

There are tons of threads about diatoms and red algae in this section. Just take your time and read through them. You will find that they answer most of your questions. I have learned so much by reading different threads that have to do with my specific problems. Hope it helps.

I know it's not the LFS problem but I would of had to ask what size tank you were putting all these fish in. I guess as long as the customer pays some don't care. Just my 2 cents.
