I just got him and he cannot get the food into his mouth! He will bite at it and it will be next to him instead of in front of him. It is really frustrating to watch him try to eat. He tries to bite at it and misses every time! I don't get it... Has anyone seen this before? He's lucky to get one...

It could be due to stress. How big are the tangs? I haven't had an ich outbreak since my old freshwater tank so I'm not sure there. I used to use a medicine called Maracyn which worked well but was expensive. You should probably have a cleaner shrimp too, they eat parasites off of the fish.

Please send the recipe my way too! It took my Kole Tang at least 3-4 weeks before he ate anything that I tried to feed. He would pick at the live rock all day but not eat any flakes, brine, or seaweed. Then he ate everything! Sadly, he disappeared recently

Well, I've had a wrasse jump in because my hawk was chasing it. Then, a couple weeks later the hawk jumped in. Then, a couple months later the clownfish jumped in. I got rid of the hawk. They have all lived through it though. I don't think the water is bad, but I'll check it thanks.

This is the third time I've had a fish get stuck in the reef ready overflow. It's a 75 gallon All Glass Aquarium. I have to drain it everytime to get them out. What can I do to prevent this? I don't want to put a flat screen down because they will be flipping and might get hurt.

I've got a reef that seems to be doing well. Been up for about 4 months, some coraline algae starting to grow. All corals seem ok. So should I be adding calcium and Iodine? What differences would I notice with these? I'd like to have more stuff grow :)

No, that's what's weird it is completely submerged. I am pretty sure there is no tube or valve installed. I've used this one before without these issues.
